En cinco días nos sumergimos en la ciudad de Lisboa y este hermoso, pequeño país que cambió el curso de la historia mundial.   

Nuestro programa comencerá en Lisboa, la capital portuguesa, con sus calles de adoquines, castillos fortificados y el histórico puerto de los marineros que lanzaron la exploración europea del mundo.   Caminaremos por las hermosas plazas y por las fortalezas en las cimas de las colinas circundantes through Lisbon’s colorful plazas and hilltop fortresses, taste delicious Portuguese cuisine—complemented by the world-renowned Porto wine—and wander through the neighboring port cities. Portugal’s small size and the wealth of nearby historical sites and natural wonders make Lisbon a perfect base for our program. We’ll take advantage of easy public transportation on the metro, trams, trains and buses to see outlying towns, the surrounding countryside and some spectacular scenery along the Atlantic coast.   

Join us in September 2025 for Treasures of Spain: Madrid and Andalucía—a nine-night adventure to some of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Europe!

Our program will take you from Madrid, the Spanish capital with its beautiful parks, boulevards and museums, south to Andalucía, the region that for centuries was under the domination of the Moors, the Muslim rulers, craftsmen, scientists and teachers who brought their learning, their architecture, their gardens, their music and their cuisine to the West.  In Madrid we see the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, leafy Retiro Park and Madrid’s famous public squares where people gather to socialize, eat, drink and celebrate.  Then we spend four nights in Córdoba, a short walk from the Mosque-Cathedral built by the Muslims in the 10th century.  Madrid and Córdoba give us easy access to four other outstanding cities of Spanish culture—Ávila, Segovia, Seville and Granada with its Alhambra Palace, often described as the most graceful and romantic palace in the world    

Add a four-day getaway to your summer 2025 travels in Europe, to Spain’s beautiful city on the Mediterranean—Barcelona! 

We’ll spend four days exploring Barcelona’s medieval quarter, its parks and boulevards,  and try the best Catalan food and drink in the quieter part of the travel season.  We’ll see Barcelona’s ancient Roman road and aqueduct, wander through the medieval Gothic cathedral, and explore Antonio Gaudí's stunning, modernist basilica.  We’ll stroll through the leafy pedestrian avenue known as the Rambla and sample favorite Catalan dishes, made with fresh, locally harvested produce, fish and shellfish.  Our hotel will give us the best location to explore all we want to see and do.  

Join us for a seven-day retreat with yogi Chris Edwards in Sitges, Spain for an immersion in the dream life--as we say in yoga, the "maya."   

We will enjoy the relaxed pace in the early fall as we learn to connect with our heart and to discover new ways to thrive in the great dance or “Leela”.  Our lodgings will be in  Sitges, a quaint seaside village that has become a hub of gay life in Spain, just a short train trip away from Barcelona, the capital of Spain’s Catalonia region and a renowned center of art, architecture, and cuisine.  The program provides a complete itinerary with transportation, housing, yoga, cooking sessions devoted to a healthy, Mediterranean lifestyle, and an easy-paced program of nearby attractions.
